Metal ~ Autumn Led by yoga teacher Amanda to ground into the physical body as well as awaken the energetic channels with poses + essential oils. Once we melt into our shapes + find a deep rest, Celeste will bring in her magnificent musical instruments for an out of this world experience through sound. As she promotes an induced meditative state, enchantment, exhilaration + wonder at being encased overtones as you rest. Acupuncturist and practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine Chantel will use pins to create strength + stability and calm the mind and body. Ideal for moving any stagnation, that can cause constipation + anchoring to help with transitioning through the autumn season. Autumn is the beginning of the yin cycle + in TCM, Autumn identifies with the metal element, which cultivates the movement of letting go + enriching ourselves, by pulling inward + finding meaning. We see this in nature - There is a slight nip in the air. The days are starting to get shorter. The body naturally wants to pare down, introvert + begin a season of focused energy. There is a radical shift that is almost palpable during autumn when the energy that previously flowed outward turns inward in preparation for the winter ahead. Autumn is the time to let go of unneeded energies from your life, like the leaves that die and let go of the tree limbs that were holding them. Our lungs + large intestine are connected to this season through their purpose of purification + elimination. Through the breath, the lungs take in oxygen + expel carbon dioxide + the large intestine absorbs water, nutrients + eliminates any waste. This Yin Yoga sequence + accompanying meditations, intention, acupressure + acupuncture allows us to let go of what no longer serves us, with the poses designed to gently open our chest + lungs as well as supporting digestion + promoting elimination. You will emerge from this session feeling relaxed + rejuvenated. After the session you will be given some time to ease back into reality with the offering of light snacks. Arrival from 1.15pm for a prompt 1:30pm start. NOTES: All yoga props provided. We encourage you to arrive early late comers cannot be admitted once the event has commenced. All sales are final + we are unable to offer refunds if you are unable to attend the event. Places can be transferred to another person with 48-hour written notice.
